Navigate the Process with Confidence
We simplify the journey of accessing a loved one's Will into three clear steps.
Step 1: Locate the Will
We begin with a confidential consultation to understand your situation. We then conduct thorough searches, contacting solicitors, banks, and the National Will Register to find the document.
Step 2: Secure Your Copy
Once found, we liaise directly with the executors on your behalf to formally request a copy of the Will and clarify your position as a beneficiary, ensuring your rights are protected.
Step 3: Gain Clarity & Advice
We review the Will with you, explain your entitlements, and provide expert advice on the next steps, including the estate administration process or if you have concerns about the Will's validity.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about finding and accessing Wills in the UK.
How can I obtain a copy of a will in the UK after probate?
Once a Grant of Probate has been issued, the will becomes a public document. You can search for and order a copy online through the official GOV.UK "Find a will or probate document" service for a small fee. You will need the full name of the deceased and their year of death.
If you are named in a will do you get a copy?
While it is best practice, executors are not legally required to provide every beneficiary with a full copy of the will. They must, however, inform you of your inheritance. If you are facing difficulties with an executor, we can help you formally request a copy and full details of your entitlement.
What if I can't find a parent's will?
Start by checking their important documents, contacting their solicitor if they had one, and checking with their bank. We recommend a comprehensive search with the National Will Register. If no will can be found after exhaustive searches, their estate may have to be dealt with under the Rules of Intestacy. We can advise you on this process.
How long after a death is a will read?
There is no set timeframe. The executors can read the will as soon as they have the original document. They should then notify beneficiaries "within a reasonable time". Delays can occur, but if you have concerns about an unreasonable delay, it's best to seek legal advice on how to formally contact the executors.
