Why Your Court Bundle is So Important

The court bundle is the single, organised folder of documents that the judge reads before your hearing. It contains all the applications, statements, and key evidence. A well-prepared bundle makes your case easy for the judge to understand; a poor one can damage your credibility and prejudice your case before you even step into court.

Compliance with Court Rules

The preparation of court bundles is governed by strict rules (Practice Direction 27A). We ensure your bundle is perfectly paginated, indexed, and formatted to meet the court's exact requirements.

Ensure Compliance

Strategic Document Selection

A successful bundle is not about including every piece of paper. We are experts in selecting only the most relevant and persuasive evidence to support your Position Statement and overall case.

Build a Strong Case

Creating a Professional Impression

A clear, concise, and professionally prepared bundle shows the court that you are organised and credible. It allows the judge to focus on the key issues in your case, which is always to your advantage.

Questions About Family Court Bundles

Who is responsible for preparing the court bundle?

In most family court proceedings, the solicitor for the person who started the case (the Applicant) is responsible for preparing the main court bundle. The Respondent's solicitor will then cooperate by providing the documents they wish to include.

What documents should be included in the bundle?

The bundle should contain all the formal court applications, previous court orders, and the key evidence both parties are relying on, such as witness statements, Position Statements, expert reports, and key correspondence.

What happens if the bundle is prepared incorrectly?

An incorrect or poorly organised bundle can have serious consequences. A judge may refuse to read it, which would damage your case. It can cause hearings to be delayed (adjourned), which increases legal costs. It also creates a very poor impression of your case and credibility.

Don't Risk a Poorly Prepared Bundle

This is one of the most critical administrative tasks in your entire case. Let our expert family solicitors handle it for you, ensuring it is done right, first time.
